Looks and sense of style? No… although young female visitors of the site may disagree.

Quality and depth of songs and lyrics? Nope.

Energy and live performance? Nah… not after I attended one of his concerts.

It’s actually the quality of his music videos that has brought Valy to such fame in such a short span of time. It is this young man’s constant pursuit of bringing his fans high quality music videos – that is by working closely with professional and in most cases non-Afghan video producers and technical directors.

There’s no doubt about the great amount of time, money and resources spent in production of his videos. In most cases, Valy himself is the producer (one who funds the project) of his music videos.

Take this new music video for example. First of all one can assume that good money was spent to find a tropical set (see Valy’s tan) where the whole crew had to travel to shoot this sizzling music video with blue waters and green mountains in the background – top that with good a looking female and upbeat music: you got yourself another hit music video.

Other talented Afghan artists may have more appealing music and better lyrics by respected poets but they have failed to beat Valy when it comes to putting their tracks into motion picture.
